Image Splitter
Split an image into an NxM grid for Instagram, banners or layouts. Private canvas slicing with no uploads.
π Runs entirely in your browser β nothing is uploadedSplit one image into a grid
Large images can be more useful when divided into smaller pieces. A brand may want a 3Γ3 Instagram grid, a designer may need equal slices for a web layout, or a creator may want to turn a panorama into separate posts. This image splitter cuts one source image into an NxM grid in your browser. Choose the number of rows and columns, generate the tiles, preview each slice and download the pieces as separate PNG files.
The process is fully client-side. Your image is decoded locally, each tile is drawn from the original pixels to a canvas, and the browser creates downloadable Blob files. There is no upload, no account and no server-side storage. That makes it safe for draft campaigns, personal photos, private design references and client previews that should not be sent to an online image service just to be sliced.
Rows, columns and tile order
Rows divide the image from top to bottom, and columns divide it from left to right. A 3Γ3 split creates nine tiles; a 1Γ3 split creates three vertical slices; a 3Γ1 split creates three horizontal slices. The tile names include their row and column so you can keep track of the sequence. For some social media profile grids, the posting order is reversed because the newest image appears first. Check the platform behavior before publishing a full grid.
Getting clean results
Start with an image that already has the overall shape you want. If you need a square Instagram grid, crop the source square before splitting so every tile aligns neatly. Very small source images can produce blurry tiles if they are enlarged later, so use the highest-resolution source available. After downloading, preview the tiles together in your design tool or social scheduler to confirm that important faces, text and product details are not split awkwardly across tile boundaries.
